Earth Signals separates academic, commercial, and institutional access. The methodology and signal values are identical across tiers — what differs is the licence, the SLA, the governance documentation, and the price. Pick the door that matches the use.

Research
The Research tier is no-cost for non-commercial academic and non-profit publication. It exists because Earth Signals' position depends on the catalog being citable and widely used in peer review.
Apply with a one-line description of the work and an academic affiliation. We approve most requests on the same day and will ask for an attribution string and a signed acceptable-use undertaking.
Commercial
The Commercial tier is the working tier for funds, ESG platforms, insurance MGAs, corporate-disclosure teams, and SaaS partners. It includes settlement-grade observation guarantees, an explicit SLA on freshness and availability, and OEM rights for platforms embedding Earth Signals as the underlying data layer.
Pricing is usage-based with annual minimums. The licence covers internal analytical use, regulator filings, and customer-facing surfaces (subject to attribution). It does not cover index administration or benchmark publication — that's institutional.
Institutional
The Institutional tier is for indices, reference-rate administrators, parametric reinsurance carriers, sovereign buyers, and any context where the data is part of a published benchmark or a regulated instrument. It includes the governance documentation regulators expect of an administered benchmark and a direct line into Earth Signals' methodology committee.
Bespoke licence terms. Co-publication of methodology where the buyer's regulator or governance regime requires it.
